Originally, Wolfwind started with Irish Wolfhounds. Hence, the name. Irish Wolfhounds are incredible dogs, but it was extremely hard dealing with the multitude of health problems & short life spans. Heartbreaking, actually.

After my first Irish Wolfhound, I got hooked on obedience training & agility. Although, we did quite well at obedience, we kept breaking the collapsible tunnel in agility.

I needed a dog that could do it all & do it well, so along came our first Belgian Shepherd, Shylock, in 1998, to win over the hearts of my family.We have competed in conformation & obedience. We've played at agility, tracking, frisbee, & water sports. What a blast ! He loves it all ! Thus began our love of Belgians.


When I set out to find a small dog with the brains & diversity of the Belgians, I discovered Papillons. These little dogs have won me over to the small dog world! They can do everything a big dog can do, & you can have 3 Papillons in the space it takes for 1 Belgian!! I will never be without at least 1 Papillon in my dog family :)
